Moundform is an experimental film which gently swallows the viewer into a body of unrest: navigating feelings of inescapable saturation, longing and disconnect, it undergoes a series of vital transformations. Using photo-animation and 2D digital animation, coupled with an immersive sound design composed of distorted animal vocalizations and natural sounds, Moundform shifts into scapes of fluid darkness, glimmering pores and visceral chasms as it oscillates between blissful comfort and the fear of being engulfed, smothered, and lost. Blurring the line between the singularity of the interior body and the sensation of vast, endless space, Moundform speaks to the unforgiving necessity of change and the resilience of life.
